Utrecht Region

Educational Pathway for Higher Education

Since 2021, Lest Best has partnered with Boswell-Bèta to provide the educational pathway for higher education in the Utrecht region (U16 municipalities). This pathway is part of the new Civic Integration Act 2021. Other municipalities also participate, such as Rivierenland, Gorinchem, and Molenlanden.

Dutch courses for international staff

Utrecht University

Since 2020, Lest Best has offered a wide range of Dutch courses for the international staff of Utrecht University. Over 100 participants start a course three times a year. Registration for these courses is only possible via the Utrecht University intranet.

Foundation for Refugee Students

UAF

Since 1948, the UAF has supported refugee students, professionals, and academics in pursuing education and entering the Dutch job market. With personal guidance, financial support, and access to networks, we help them realise their potential — benefiting both refugees and Dutch society.

Boswell‑Bèta

Boswell-Bèta is the former science department of Utrecht University’s James Boswell Institute. For nearly 50 years, Boswell-Bèta has been offering education for Dutch and international students who cannot directly enrol in university. Together, Lest Best and Boswell-Bèta provide the higher education route under the Civic Integration Act 2021 in Utrecht and surrounding areas.

Civic Integration & Participation Agreement

City of Utrecht

As a language provider in the Utrecht region, we’ve signed the Civic Integration & Participation Agreement with the municipality of Utrecht. The goal: to improve the quality of language education, detect and prevent fraud, and strengthen collaboration. Language is key to faster progress for newcomers.

Language Training for Companies and Employees

Looking for language training for international staff? Besides our regular courses, we offer custom in-company training at your location, at our offices in Utrecht or Rotterdam, or online. For individuals, a course from our standard offerings is usually the best fit, but we also offer private lessons.
